Have you ever wondered what earthen ingredients our ancestors used for cleansing purposes??? Some believe our ancestors didn't bathe- We believe they did! However, their ingredients didn't resemble our modern, bottled, chemical-laden products- they used what the earth gave them. And now- so can you! Dirt. Sea Kelp. Honey. Herbs.
***Primal Life Organics highly recommends purchasing the squirt bottle with first purchase of Dirty Poo for ease of use.***
Used alone or mixed with other ingredients, clay can purify, cleanse, tone, heal, soothe and nourish skin and hair. Clay detoxifies, balances, alkalizes and stimulates circulation. Clay contains a unique strong negative ionic charge which acts as a “magnet” that readily attracts any substance with a positive ionic charge. Substances that carry a positive ionic charge include toxins, bacteria, viruses, parasites and other impurities. Clay attracts these impurities, draws them out of the hair and scalp and carries them away with the rinse. The scalp is nourished and cleansed but natural oils remain intact. A safe alternative to commercial shampoo, and Dirty Poo is free from all parabens, mineral oils, silicones, fragrance.
Norwegian Sea Kelp (organic): brown seaweed found along the Atlantic coast of Norway. Sea kelp is abundant in 18 vital minerals, such as potassium, calcium, zinc and manganese and iodine and contains 14 essential vitamins, such as niacin, vitamin K and folate. Kelp proteins are comparable in quality to animal proteins. Kelp contains sodium alginate (algin), an element that helps remove radioactive particles and heavy metals from the body.
Aloe Vera (organic) has many beneficial properties for the hair which include: anti-inflammatory properties for the scalp, helps generate hair growth, restores pH levels, promotes scalp healing, improves detangling, provides moisture and conditioning, decreases frizz, enhances cellular regeneration and remediates dandruff.
Honey (organic) acts as a humectant and prevents moisture loss. The high sugar content helps to retain water, maintain moisture content of the hair and keep the hair cuticle soft. Honey also has antibacterial properties that helps to maintain a healthy scalp, thereby reducing the incidence of flaking (dandruff). Honey is also loaded with anti-oxidants which are important to prevent free-radical damage, improve nutrient supply, scalp functioning and healing as well as regeneration of tissue.
Lavender (organic)- antibacterial, soothing properties for the skin and mind.
Rosemary (organic): According to Organic Facts, rosemary stimulates hair follicles, causing hair to grow long and strong. Rosemary also helps prevent premature hair loss and stops hair from falling out during brushing, shampooing or just daily living. It also helps remedy dry, flaky scalp conditions and promotes pigmentation in the hair (prevents premature gray hair and can help reverse grey hair). Rosemary also increases circulation to the scalp, which results in renewed cellular health and an increase in delivery of nutrients to the scalp and hair follicles.
Baking Soda (aluminum free) acts as a very mild cleanser and agitator for dirt removal.

Are you on the fence about Dirty Poo?? Washing your hair with dirt sounds a little backwards right??? Do you have fine, limp, oily, dull hair that does not respond to volume promising shampoos?? Have you tried the No Poo method and it just was not for you?? You may want to read this:
About a month ago, I emailed you to ask for some product advice. I ended up ordering and trying the Carrot Seed facial package, the Primal Pit Stick, Dirty Mouth Toothpowder and the Dirty Poo. My biggest concerns were about the Dirty Poo. I have thin, fine hair that tends to get pretty oily. I've tried No Poo before with only baking soda & ACV and it was not an experiment that went well. The baking soda was too abrasive and broke a lot of my hair. It was kind of a disaster actually and I'm still trying to grow my hair out in certain places. I had to give up and go back to regular shampoo. I tried to keep it as clean as possible with an all organic, botanical based shampoo, but even the "volume" formula for my fine, limp hair just weighted it down. I really did feel at my wits end about my hair and threatened on several occasions to simply shave it all off.
I've been using Dirty Poo for a little over a month now and my relationship with my hair has totally changed! I wash it twice a week and even in between washings, even with working out, it still looks clean and fresh. I don't even have to use dry shampoo in between washings like I always did with No Poo and with traditional shampoo! Best of all my limp locks seem to be history! My hair feels clean and fresh and still has some body and bounce to it! A day or two before washing, if it gets a little limp, I just pin it back in a French twist and it still looks great. I've already ordered an 8 oz container of Dirty Poo because this will be my hair care of choice for quite a time to come! I'm also a big fan of the Dirty Toothpowder, which leaves my teeth bright and white and somehow cleaner then regular toothpaste. Of course, not eating sugar & grains helps a lot in this regard as well! And my facial skin in clearer and more vibrant then its ever been with the Carrot Seed range of products. Overall, I'm really impressed with your skin food and think its makes a wonderful counterpoint to a Paleo diet and lifestyle regime. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!
