You take the time to eat healthy, workout, and you do your research to avoid toxins and chemicals in your skincare. You consider yourself “health-conscious” because you “woke up” to the lies of Big Cosmo... but what if I told you Big Cosmo might have you duped yet again!
It’s an infuriating thought – particularly if you’ve gone to the trouble of sourcing natural skincare products free from a range of toxins that can be harmful to your health.
I am here to tell you that your “natural” skincare might be polluted with BPA, phthalates, and more..
While there is no hard and fast data about the impact of a single application of the product from a plastic bottle, it’s important to think about the cumulative effect of continued exposure to chemicals leached into your skincare products, when applied day after day.
This is especially true for face moisturizers, face serums, body moisturizers, and sunscreens because these products are put on your skin and absorb into your body throughout the day.
For example, plastic bottles made from PETE or PET (polyethylene terephthalate) can leach phthalates into the product they contain when the plastic is heated, exposed to sun, or reused.
Plastic containers leach phthalates into your products... we know that. It has been proven. How much you absorb and the devasting and damaging effects they have on your health are unknown, yet it is 100% preventable. This is why you must pay attention to what your skincare is contained in.
Phthalates are known hormone disruptors and have been linked to reproductive issues, liver damage, and are suspected of being toxic to the fetus in pregnancy.

Be informed about your skincare purchase and the potential impact of its packaging on your health.
If you’re concerned about your product’s container leaching toxins into the product, it’s best to purchase a natural skincare alternative that uses containers other than plastic.
