Signs You Need a New Dentist

“I love going to the dentist!” said NO ONE ever…until now!

Actually, one of the best things we hear from our clients is how amazing their dental visits are after they have been using Primal Life products for a few weeks. It’s true! Because your teeth are being remineralized, your gums are healthier, and you have less plaque, BOTH you and your dentist are happier.

But with all that said, a happy dentist is not a reason to stay with your dentist. There are several things your dentist should be doing and NOT be doing that qualifies him/her as a good dentist. So, if you’re ready, let’s put your dentist to the test…

YOUR DENTIST SHOULD ASK YOU ABOUT YOUR MEDICATIONS

Many medications can cause dry mouth, which puts you at greater risk for cavities. We already know cavities can be fixed by using Dirty Mouth Tooth Powder - but if they’re left alone they can lead to bigger problems such as the need for a root canal or even so much as losing the tooth.

YOUR DENTIST SHOULD EXAMINE YOUR NECK, FACIAL STRUCTURE, AND TONGUE

Your dentist should check your head, jaw, and neck for any abnormalities, including color changes, lumps, and legions. They should also look at your facial structure, which can indicate excessive teeth grinding or maligned teeth. And they should check your tongue which is an indicator of your overall health.

YOUR DENTIST SHOULD NOT BE GIVING YOU A FLUORIDE RINSE

We have already covered many times how fluoride is a neurotoxin. Unfortunately, most dentists are stuck in the old paradigm of using fluoride to prevent cavities. It’s not their fault - they are victims of the status quo system. Most dentists are not aware you can heal a cavity

So, if your dentist tries to give you a fluoride rinse, just say NO.

YOUR DENTIST SHOULD TEST YOUR ORAL MICROBIOME

You’ve probably heard about your gut microbiome, but did you know your mouth has a microbiome too?

Oral Microbiome Testing is a simple way to check for certain risk factors that contribute to oral diseases like gum disease and tooth decay, plus identify whether you are at increased risk for other important health issues like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, pregnancy complications, oral cancer, and inflammation.

If your dentist is not testing or mentioning your oral microbiome, they are missing a critical part of your overall health outcomes.

YOUR DENTIST SHOULD NOT BE USING AN ALCOHOL-BASED MOUTHWASH

Just say NO to the blue colored, alcohol-based mouthwash that wipes out all of your good mouth bacteria! This is an absolute no-no for good dentists. Blue, commercial mouthwash is a sign your dentist is operating out of an outdated paradigm for dental health. Run, don't walk when you see this dental health violation.

YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF THE 1-2-3-4 GUM RATING

Gum health can be assessed with a calibrated dental instrument. Healthy gum tissue will usually yield numbers of less than 4 mm. Higher numbers indicate that the tissue is inflamed and some dental treatment may be necessary.

If you have not heard your dentist talk about the rating of your gums, this is a warning sign that they are not properly evaluating your mouth health.

So how did your dentist do?

If not so good, you’re not alone. Most conventional dentists are stuck in an outdated dental paradigm, with outdated education, and an outdated mindset.

So, what do you do now? Change is not easy, but we want to help you find a good dentist that understands how to truly help you care for your teeth and mouth. Dental care is serious business. It’s not just about perfectly white teeth. An unhealthy mouth can lead to several chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and even death.
